The 51-year-old driver of the semi-trailer actually wanted to turn left at the traffic light. After he thinks the traffic light has been red for too long, he decides to drive straight into town. A 32-year-old Seat driver is standing in his blind spot in the straight lane. As the 51-year-old continues straight ahead, his vehicle touches the other car, pushing it in front of him.
The truck driver initially thinks that the brakes are defective, but then stops after 200 meters to check that everything is in order.
Nobody was injured in the accident. According to the police, there is property damage of around 13,000 euros.
The police do not want to pursue the accident any further because the initial suspicion of a criminal offense was not confirmed, a spokeswoman told MDR.
