environmentalists are “less virulent on imports” than on pesticides, deplores the Coordination…

While the Agricultural Show opens its doors on Saturday in Paris, farmers parade this Friday in the French capital. But, at the microphone of “Pascal Praud and you”, Rural Coordination and Future Generations seem in contradiction. Listen to the excerpt again. You can react at 01.80.20.39.21.

Divergent points of view. This Friday, farmers are marching through Paris to express their anger, one day before the opening of the Salon de l’Agriculture. But on the set of Pascal Praud and you, Patrick Legras, spokesperson for Rural Coordination, and François Veillerette, spokesperson for Génération Futures, do not seem to agree on the demands. For the latter, it is necessary to “remove the most dangerous products, which do not meet sufficient safety standards”.

A request that makes Patrick Legras react. “What bothers me is that there are a lot of people in our (your)* profession who are against what we can use but who don’t propose anything and who are, on the other hand, much less virulent on the imports or the groups which import the products”, he laments at the microphone of Pascal Praud.

*Contacted by Europe 1 to clarify his comments, Patrick Legras indicated that his expression “in our professions” did not refer to farmers but to environmentalists.
