In England, a woman was found dead just four days after she got married. Her body was in a suitcase near a playground. The police suspect her husband of killing the woman.

Four days after their wedding, a woman was found dead. The couple from Halifax, England, only said yes on Wednesday – in the presence of relatives and friends. But on Sunday, just four days later, the 52-year-old’s body was found – hidden in a suitcase and stored behind a tree near a children’s playground. West Yorkshire Police soon arrested her husband, a 45-year-old father of three.

A call came in shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, reporting a body found in Lightcliffe. The village is a ten-minute drive from the couple’s home. Since the caller did not reveal his name, the police released a call for witnesses. “Our investigation into this incident is still at an early stage and we are particularly keen to speak to the person who originally called us to file the complaint as they have not yet identified themselves to us,” said it in a press release.

Couple in England looked very happy at wedding

Forensic investigators have ransacked the couple’s Brighouse home and are continuing to interrogate the husband. The officials assume that the scrap dealer strangled his wife. The officers are turning to anyone who has observed suspicious activity on Aysgarth Avenue or the surrounding streets between 1 p.m. and 4:38 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

As reported by the English media, such as the “Sun” and the “Daily Mail”, the couple got engaged in January 2020 and planned the wedding for months. Guests at the wedding reported how harmonious and in love the couple had looked at the celebration. One guest is quoted as saying, “The ceremony was at 2:30 pm, followed by a reception at a local pub. We stayed most of the night. It was a great day and they seemed very happy.”

A neighbor said: “I am stunned – there is no other word for it. It is devastating. I have lived here for 40 years and what has happened is just terrible. The woman leaves two children who she brought into the marriage.
