It was anticipated, due to the rise in power of the Delta variant (formerly called the Indian variant) in the United Kingdom, it is now official: England postpones by four weeks the final stage of its deconfinement, initially planned for June 21, until July 19. A decision which can be explained by a rise in cases after months of decline, due to the more contagious Delta variant.
