Kourtney Kardashian’s daughter Penelope Disick’s reaction to her mother’s engagement to Travis Barker has been far from good…
The engagement of drummer Travis Barker (46) and Kourtney Kardashian (43) has apparently caused angry tears in the daughter of the 43-year-old. In the fourth issue of the new reality series “The Kardashians”, which can be seen in this country on Disney +, the marriage proposal was the topic. It had already taken place in October 2021 in a beach hotel in Montecito. In early April, the couple married in Las Vegas.
“The Kardashians” now showed how the drummer of the band Blink-182, surrounded by countless roses and candles, got on his knees in front of Kourtney Kardashian. Family members including mother Kris Jenner, 66, and Kourtney’s sisters Kim Kardashian, 41, Khloé Kardashian, 37, Kendall Jenner, 26, and Kylie Jenner, 24, witnessed the engagement. They got together for dinner after the event. Also present at the meal were Barker’s children Landon, 18, and Alabama, 16, from his previous marriage to Shanna Moakler, 47, and his stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, 23. However, the children of Kourtney Kardashian, from the relationship with ex Scott Disick (38), were not present at this special moment.

In order to get her children on board after all and so that they don’t find out about it in advance from the media, the mother of three called her face time – starting with daughter Penelope (9). Apparently she didn’t take the news of the engagement well and burst into tears. She even asked on the phone: “Hang up!” Kourtney Kardashian suspected in front of the cameras that her daughter didn’t know what the move meant and that’s why she took the news so badly. The other children didn’t seem enthusiastic either. Her seven-year-old son, Rein Disick, found the news “not exciting”. Twelve-year-old Mason Disick didn’t even answer the phone.
Kris Jenner decided not to have Kourtney’s kids attend the engagement party. You are too young. She also didn’t lie to Scott Disick and wanted to bring the children to the event under false pretenses, she explained. Her daughter was upset about this. In the reality format, she said: “I wish my children were here.” They would have felt more involved then, she believes. She described her mother’s decision as “probably not her best”.
