It was a long night for the leaders of the SPD, FDP and Greens. Early on Thursday morning, the coalition partners finally agreed on how they want to absorb the hardships that are being caused nationwide by rising energy prices. After the meeting, it was said that “extensive and decisive measures to relieve the burden on citizens and to strengthen energy policy independence” had been decided. The specific components of the agreement were initially unclear in the morning.
