Gas is scarce and winter is almost here. And what is the nation doing? Leads pointless debates about nuclear reactors, fracking and past mistakes. There is only one way to overcome this crisis.

The Spaniards are showing how to deal with such an energy crisis these days. Public facilities, offices, supermarkets – they all have to reduce the air conditioning. In winter, it shouldn’t be warmer than 19 degrees Celsius there, and the lighting in shop windows stops at 10 p.m. Saving energy when it’s scarce: That’s not a bad idea.
