Germany shuts down its last nuclear power plants. In Neckarwestheim, people can only understand this to a limited extent. Here they lived well off the atom.

Then Herbert Würth, an honorary grey-haired activist from the “Action Alliance Castor-Resistance Neckarwestheim”, rings at the gate of the “GKN”.
“GKN” stands for “Gemeinschaftsnuclearkraftwerk Neckar”, Würth just calls it “the thing”. He is 67 years old, he gave half his life to fight “that thing”, sometimes his wife asked him: Does that have to be all? Yes, it had to be. As it stands now he will outlive “that thing”, what a win.
