On January 15, 2024, the Emmy Awards will be presented for the 75th time. As in previous years, the ceremony for the most important US television award will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The award ceremony was actually planned for September last year, but was postponed until January due to the Hollywood strike. That’s why the nominations for one of the countless awards also include a lot of series and film highlights from 2022.
Emmy Awards: Awards ceremony four months later than planned
The Emmys have been awarded annually since 1949, now in over 90 different categories. At the main ceremony on January 15th, the focus will be on the Primetime Emmy Awards. Most recently, the German Netflix production “The Empress” was pleased to receive an award in the “Best Drama Series” category at the International Emmy Awards last November. The current awards ceremony focuses on US series and films. The number of stars in Los Angeles this evening will be correspondingly high. Anthony Anderson, who has been nominated for an Emmy eleven times, will host the ceremony.
