French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Algeria from August 25 to 27, the Elysee Palace announced on Saturday, a visit intended to relaunch the partnership between the two countries after several months of crisis.
“This trip will contribute to deepening the bilateral relationship looking towards the future (…) to strengthen Franco-Algerian cooperation in the face of regional issues and to continue the work of healing memories”, declared the French presidency to the from a telephone conversation between the French president and his counterpart Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
