Emmanuel Macron will meet with his Ukrainian counterparts Volodomyr Zelensky and Russian Vladimir Poutine

Emmanuel Macron is closely monitoring the situation between Ukraine and Russia. The French president will meet “in the coming days” with his Ukrainian counterparts Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian Vladimir Poutin, after a virtual summit between the Russian leader and Joe Biden, in order to avoid a military escalation in Ukraine, announced Tuesday the Elysium.

Washington had indicated that US President Joe Biden had spoken with the French, German, Italian and British leaders to “inform them” of the conversation with Vladimir Poutine “and to consult each other on the way forward”.
