Emmanuel Macron will be traveling to Marseille from September 1 to 3

The date is now official, after months of rumors. The President of the Republic will travel to Marseille from this Wednesday, at the beginning of the afternoon, for a long-awaited visit. Emmanuel Macron will leave on Friday evening, probably after attending the opening of the World Conservation Congress in Marseille.

The precise program of this visit is not yet known, but the president is expected to announce a major plan for Marseille, in particular in terms of renovating schools, transport or the fight against drug trafficking.

In connection with the State, Marseille is indeed planning a renovation plan for 200 of the city’s 472 schools, according to Benoît Payan, who also met Prime Minister Jean Castex on this subject in June.
