It was a little more than ten minutes late, around 11:45 a.m., that the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, arrived at the McCain factory site in Matougues. The Head of State visits the Marne site before meeting elected officials and officials.
On the occasion of this presidential visit as part of the Choose France summit, the world leader in frozen potato products announces an investment of more than 350 million euros in these three sites in Hauts-de-France and of the Grand Est, including 300 million for the Harnes site (Pas-de-Calais), 30 million for the Béthune site and around 25 million euros for the Matougues site.
This investment will finance the replacement of the fryer and the addition of coating technology for the Marne factory which has a 1.4 kilometer fry line. This investment, deployed over a period of five years starting in summer 2024, should make it possible to increase McCain’s production by 25% at these three sites.
