Emergency service: Man makes 300 false emergency calls in Schweinfurt – Bavaria

A man is said to have made around 300 emergency calls to a rescue control center in one night – without there actually being an emergency. As the police announced, the control center in Schweinfurt received around 300 emergency calls from the same cell phone number on Saturday night. Just as the call was being answered, the caller repeatedly ended the call.

The police then located a suspect in Bad Bocklet (Bad Kissingen district) using the location of the cell phone. The 42-year-old is suspected of having been flooding the rescue control center with abusive emergency calls for days, the statement continued. His cell phone was confiscated. An investigation is being initiated against the man for misusing emergency calls in several hundred cases.
