Two people died in a plane crash this Friday, February 9. The private jet, a Bombardier Challenger 600, crashed on a highway near the city ​​of Naples, Florida in the USA. The accident happened around 3 p.m. local time, reports BFM.

Just before the crash, the pilot had informed by radio “that he had lost both engines and requested an emergency landing” because he could not reach the landing strip, airport spokesperson Robin King said. A motorist, caught in the traffic jam caused by the accident, filmed the burning wreckage of the plane along the highway.

The pilot unfortunately failed to land. The plane crashed to the ground, killing two of the five passengers. An investigation has been opened.
