Emergency in the stands: Watford vs. Chelsea interrupted
After an emergency in the stands, the duel between Watford and Chelsea was interrupted in the early stages.
The game between Watford FC and Chelsea FC in the English Premier League was interrupted after 13 minutes. The reason was a medical emergency in the stands, on which, according to English media reports, a Watford fan had to be treated.
Watford reported via Twitterthat a supporter of the club had suffered a cardiac arrest but has since been stabilized.
Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso had alerted the blues medics and carers to the emergency and sent them to the man.
The referee then ordered both teams back into the dressing room. The game was interrupted for more than 20 minutes, after a renewed warm-up phase for both teams, the ball then rolled again.
