Now the “Rocket Man” has also been hit: British singer Elton John has been infected with Corona. On Instagram he apologized that two of his concerts had to be postponed.
The British pop star Elton John had to postpone several concerts in the USA because of a corona disease. “I got infected with Covid,” wrote the 74-year-old singer on his page on the online platform Instagram on Tuesday. “Fortunately I am fully vaccinated and boosted and my symptoms are mild.”

Two concerts planned for Tuesday and Wednesday in Dallas, Texas, had to be postponed because of the singer’s positive corona test of hits like “Rocket Man” and “Your Song”. “It’s always a huge disappointment to have a concert postponed and I’m so sorry to everyone who is being inconvenienced by this,” Elton John wrote on Instagram. But he wants to ensure safety for himself and his team.
At the same time, the singer was confident of being able to give a concert planned for Saturday in North Little Rock, Arkansas, as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road farewell tour. Sir John has been on this tour since 2018, but many dates had to be postponed due to the corona pandemic. Most recently, the superstar also had to interrupt the concert series due to hip surgery.
