Because he is said to have disrespected women, a guest in Mexico is thrown out of a bar. The man is said to have taken revenge with a Molotov cocktail – and killed at least eleven people with his fire.
At least 11 people were killed and four others injured in a fire attack on a bar in Mexico, which is located just outside the border wall with the US state of Arizona. The dead are said to be seven men and four women.
As the prosecutor in the northern state of Sonora announced, the attack on Saturday night in the city of San Luis Río Colorado was carried out by a man who had previously been thrown out of the restaurant.
The man had been expelled from the place because he had behaved “disrespectfully” towards women, the investigators said. According to local media reports, he was drunk and threw a burning object – presumably a Molotov cocktail – into the bar.
A video circulating on social media, published by Excélsior TV among others, shows people running from side to side in panic in front of the burning bar and screaming. According to the information, the alleged perpetrator has not yet been caught. His identity must also be established.
