Eleven people were arrested on Monday March 11 in the Romans-sur-Isère area (Drôme), as part of the investigation into the death of Thomas in Crépol last November, franceinfo learned from a source close to the investigation.

Still from a source close to the investigation, ten of these people are adults and one is a minor. All come from Romans-sur-Isère or the immediate vicinity. All are French and known – for the most part – for minor crimes.

According to information from France Bleu Drôme Ardèche, the people arrested – and who are currently in police custody – are suspected of having been present at the scene on the evening of Thomas’ death. Their names, nicknames or physical description were given by the 104 witnesses during the first interrogations.

In this case, nine young people aged 16 to 22 have already been indicted and six have been placed in pre-trial detention. However, the perpetrator of the fatal stabbing has still not been clearly identified and the murder weapon has not been found. Thomas, 16, was stabbed to death on the night of November 18 to 19 in Crépol, in the north of the Drôme department, after leaving a village ball.
