Electricity market – grid fees almost stable – Economy

Despite significantly higher costs for stabilizing the electricity grid, the corresponding tariffs could remain stable in the coming year. The operators of the four German transmission grids reported a provisional amount of 3.12 cents per kilowatt hour for 2023 on Wednesday. For the first time, the fee will be uniform nationwide – most recently the range was between 2.94 and 3.29 cents. However, the stable level of fees is only possible thanks to the federal government’s third relief package. Without state financial aid, network charges would rise sharply. They are charged directly via the electricity bill.
