Trump is said to have pressured the governor of Arizona

Donald Trump claims to this day without any evidence that he was deprived of victory in 2020 by fraud. After his defeat, he is said to have asked other Republicans to take action against the result.
After his election defeat in November 2020, ex-president Donald Trump also put pressure on the then governor of Arizona in a telephone call to overturn the election results. This was reported by the Washington Post, citing three unnamed sources.
In the conversation, which is said to have taken place at the end of 2020, Trump asked Republican Doug Ducey to take action in the state against his election defeat and subsequently reverse the result.
Trump also instructed his then deputy Mike Pence to put pressure on Ducey, the newspaper reported, citing two of the three sources. Pence then called Ducey several times, but did not follow his boss’s instructions.
Other cases known
Last summer, the Republican chairman of the Arizona House of Representatives, Russell Bowers, described to a committee of inquiry in the US House of Representatives how he had been put under pressure by Trump’s team after the election.
This is reminiscent of what happened in the state of Georgia. There, Secretary of State and Republican Brad Raffensperger, who is responsible for organizing elections, was blatantly asked by Trump in a telephone call to collect enough votes for his election success in Georgia. A recording of the conversation was shared with the media at the time.
