Elections in Berlin: unloved metropolis – opinion

Berlin likes to see itself as a metropolis of global importance. That corresponds to the nature of many a resident, a certain cockiness is not alien to him. Internationally, the city does not play a significant role, at least neither economically nor in terms of power politics. Berlin’s claim seems to be more will than ability. However, unlike all-round potent cosmopolitan cities such as New York, Paris or London, Berlin derives its importance above all from its soft power. Culture, clubs, lifestyle.
