There is a song by the legendary Bremen punk band The Mimmis, breaking out of the traditional 4/4 rattle. It’s called: “It’s all peanuts”. Officially trifled 3:24 minutes of music are the ones that suggest not trimming the hedge, not washing the laundry, instead hissing a beer: “Forget the money you don’t have, which doesn’t make you happy anyway. ” And with that, welcome to Germany’s smallest federal state, which fits six times into Saarland and is no less associated with clichés: somehow left-wing, somehow clammy, somehow proud.
