An Eintracht Frankfurt fan had to receive medical treatment during the Conference League game against PAOK Saloniki. Shortly afterwards the all-clear was given.

Update from Thursday, November 30th, 10:05 p.m.: During the first half of Frankfurter Eintracht’s Conference League game against PAOK Saloniki, the fans stopped supporting for a few minutes. However, this had nothing to do with a confrontation with the police.

Instead, a fan in Block 42 had to receive medical care, and several paramedics could be seen in the stands. Via X However, the club gave the all-clear shortly afterwards. “The person is responsive and has now been transported away. We wish you all the best and a speedy recovery,” wrote the SGE.

Otherwise, there was no noticeable atmosphere from the clashes from last weekend; the spectators loudly supported their club until the incident.

Police want to pursue a “restrained operational concept” at the Eintracht game on Thursday

Since the descriptions of those involved about the riots vary widely, fans and authorities have repeatedly accused each other ever since. The police approach in particular is currently being questioned by many Eintracht supporters.

The police want to “pursue a cautious operational concept” in the game against the team from Greece and rely on communication and de-escalation. “There are currently no indications of a particular rivalry between the two fan camps or planned disruptions,” the police said in a statement.

The game will certainly be emotional in one way or another. In the first leg, Eintracht Frankfurt lost 1-2 at PAOK Thesaloniki, Kevin Trapp was shown a red card at the end of the game. “I think what happened is already in the back of my mind. It’s important to go into the game with good emotions and a cool head,” said coach Dino Toppmöller before the game.
