Eighteen-month suspended prison sentence for threatening the firefighters who came to his rescue with death

A man was sentenced to eighteen months in prison suspended by the correctional court of Nîmes, accompanied by an obligation of care and work. On March 21, while three firefighters were busy rescuing him, he had copiously insulted them and threatened them with death. Back on his feet, he then kicked their ambulance. The facts had occurred in Uzès, in the Gard.

If the three firefighters concerned did not wish to file a civil action, the Sdis du Gard did, however, initiate legal action. “The president and the director of Sdis reaffirm their total support for the firefighters and recall that complaints are systematically filed in the event of contempt, threats or violence”, specify the firefighters in their press release.
