Eight electric cars under 35,000 euros: Fiat 500, MG 4 and Dacia Spring – Auto & Mobil

The federal government’s goal is ambitious: 15 million electric cars should be on German roads by 2030. The reality is far from that. Until October 1, 2023 there were just 1.3 million vehicles. One of the reasons, in addition to range anxiety and too few charging stations, is the high price. “Affordable” models around 25,000 euros are still a long time coming. The electric Renault R5, a tribute to the classic French small car, is likely to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The new Fiat Panda is scheduled for 2024. The VW ID.2, Volkswagen’s entry-level model in electromobility, will not follow until 2025. As will the Cupra Raval, Toyota bZ Small and the successor to the Renault Twingo. The Tesla Model 2 will be built in Berlin, but when is still not clear. And the used market for electric cars is also manageable. Even for the BMW i3 and VW e-Golf, which are no longer produced, prices only start at 20,000 euros.
