A man hit and injured two Iranian women in the face with a bottle and his fist in Eichstätt, Upper Bavaria, in a suspected racially motivated attack. As the police announced on Thursday, the attacker had repeatedly shouted at the two women in the city center on Monday that they should disappear from Germany “and go back to their home country.” The man hit one of the two women in the face with a beer bottle and punched her companion. The two women suffered a cut and a broken nose. The perpetrator ran away after the attack.
A witness tried unsuccessfully to track him down. According to the police, the identity of the attacker initially remained unclear. However, a witness filmed the crime. The investigators were looking for further witnesses. It is being investigated for grievous bodily harm.
