Actually, says Schahab, the masks at school now seem like a farce to him. According to the high school student, nobody keeps their distance anymore, and in the breaks and between lessons many masks fell off anyway. No wonder, since many of them hurt behind the ears after several hours. No school trips and concerts, but masks in physical education: He’s not really convinced anymore whether the state government’s much-vaunted safety net is still needed at schools, while they’ve long since been happily sitting together again in the pubs. “After almost two years it should come to an end,” he says.
