Yes, but here you are, you weren’t able to follow every meeting or every TV debate because you’re not a political journalist. What about electoral propaganda? It is still blocked in your mailbox (which itself is blocked).

But you tell yourself that, all the same, a little reminder would not be too much. Just to be sure. That’s good, 20 Minutes has been looking at the programs of the candidates for several weeks.
Health proposals
The hospital. The Covid-19 crisis is not yet over, but the public hospital did not wait for the pandemic to be in pain. Training and remuneration of caregivers, reopening of beds, strengthening of bridges between public and private… Each of the candidates is aware of the limits of the current system. The nursing homes. The other strong subject in health is of course the Orpea affair and the future of nursing homes. Have the candidates sufficiently grasped the question of old age? What measures do they propose to offer a decent daily life to our seniors? Do they want to improve the working conditions of staff? Avoid deviations? We answer it there.
Medical deserts. They return to each presidential election. And 2022 was no exception. A problem that should also only grow with the aging of the population, the lasting lack of general practitioners, and chronic diseases that are ever more common in the coming years. How to cure it ? Education Proposals
Teachers. It is a profession to cherish for the candidates, because its future interests the parents of pupils. What do the aspirants to the highest office propose for teachers? If there is consensus to increase wages, some want to condition them. The left relies on recruitment, when others want to review the assignment of teachers. Primary school. Let’s go to the other side of the class, to see the proposals that concern young students (and that will interest parents even more). Reform of the school calendar, support measures, focus on discipline, reduction in class size… The candidates have been busy, but not sure that everyone has a good grade. You be the judge of that.
Students. At the other end of the school career, the problems are just as numerous. How to unclog the faculties? Should we bury Parcoursup? How to act on registration fees or student accommodation? Particularly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, this age group has many expectations. But which candidate will be able to fill them?
Proposals on the Economy
The purchasing power. The left wants to go through the minimum wage, the right through social charges. All are faced with galloping inflation and rising energy prices, consequences of the war in Ukraine and the Covid-19 pandemic. But who has the right formula to improve the purchasing power of the French, one of the major themes of the campaign? Here are their proposals.
The youth. Talking to young people means talking about money. A strong stake in order to limit their abstention. New this year: while traditionally, it is the left-wing parties that make social proposals for them, this time everyone gets involved. Young RSA, citizen income, contract of engagement, universal employment contract, everyone has their own more or less new idea. The other levers to act? Student grants, taxation or specific aid. Food sovereignty. Another consequence of the last two years, the combination of the Covid-19 crisis and the Russian invasion of Ukraine: food sovereignty is fueling debate. Regaining your autonomy is good, but how do you do it? We must bet on local production, but also accentuate protectionism, propose some candidates. Without forgetting to help the main interested parties: farmers and breeders. A vast project that divides the contenders for the Elysée.
The proposals on the environment
The energy transition. It is everywhere, but in what proportion exactly in the programs? Their comparison shows many divisions. The biodiversity. A fiery debate – that of hunting – comes up again and again, with its pros and its antis. But biodiversity issues, and the proposals that go with them, are much broader than that.
