Education: District of Ebersberg gets vocational school for child care – Ebersberg

Ebersberg is getting a vocational school for child care, as Finance and Home Affairs Minister Albert Füracker (CSU) and Education Minister Michael Piazolo (FW) officially announced in a press release on Monday. The project has been under discussion since 2019 when there was talk of the vocational school being attached to the new vocational school in Grafing-Bahnhof. This project is expected to be delayed by a few years – it was initially unclear on Monday whether the new educational institution should be set up in a different location beforehand.

In their press release, the two ministers praise the move as a “commitment to local training opportunities in child care”. Especially in counties with population growth, the demand for these qualified apprenticeships can be increased. Due to the legal entitlement to early childhood support in a day care center or in day care for children from the age of one and the continuous expansion of childcare places, there is a high need for skilled and supplementary workers. Training at a vocational school for child care opens up the possibility of pedagogical work in various socio-pedagogical fields of work, for example in the care, education and upbringing of children from infancy to early school age. Upon completion of the training, the intermediate educational qualification can also be achieved.
