British superstar Ed Sheeran took a year off. What this means for his account has now become known.

The British superstar’s tour income Ed Sheeran (30) is said to have taken an amazing nosedive during the lockdown. The musician is said to have earned 70.4 million pounds (the equivalent of around 82.5 million euros) from performances by March 2020. The figures for the following twelve months, on the other hand, tell a completely different story: According to the British media, the “Bad Habits” star only received 591 pounds (around 693 euros). In December 2019, the artist took a year-long break from music and lucrative tours. His first child, daughter Lyra, was born in August 2020. In December 2020, he made a triumphant return to the industry, topping the charts again with his album “Equals.”

“Now he lives a little more like us”

“Ed’s accounts for his company Hayagotatourboi Touring make for fun reading. He has made a lot of money from his tours. In the last three years the company has made more than £250 million,” reports “The Sun” citing an anonymous source. We’re talking about “192,000 pounds per day” (around 225,200 euros). “But now that he’s had a break, he lives a little more like us, with a daily income of £1.62.

The musician’s fortune is estimated at 220 million pounds (around 258 million euros).

Ed Sheeran will be touring again in April next year. It will be his fourth world tour and due to popular demand he has already added a number of additional dates to the first leg of his tour in the UK and Europe.
