At the beginning of the young Eckhard’s enthusiasm for music was a radio he made himself, with which he could listen to classical music, but of course also hits. The desire to study music to become a conductor soon grew. But when the 19-year-old wanted to register for the entrance exam, they asked what instrument he played. And unfortunately he had to say: “None! They sent me straight back home.”
