“You’re not made of sugar,” my gym teacher liked to say when he made me run around the school in the rain. I’ve had a sensor on my arm, or should I say: in my arm, for two days? Because the white disc, barely larger than a two-euro piece, is equipped with a small tip that gets under my skin. This miracle of technology measures my current glucose level in the blood and sends it to my cell phone via Bluetooth. And the value says: I’m made of sugar!
