It is like a call for help with which Albert Hingerl addressed District Administrator Robert Niedergesäß (CSU) on behalf of the SPD district parliamentary group last Friday: “Host parents feel left alone” is the subject of the letter, to which the group spokesman wrote fire letters from two Poinger host families for Ukrainian refugees attached. The tenor: disappointment about bureaucratic hurdles and a lack of support from municipalities and the district office when looking for an apartment. “The majority of host families trusted the statements of the responsible authorities that private accommodation was only temporarily necessary,” writes Albert Hingerl, “until an alternative is found through official accommodation.”
