The streets have often been as smooth as glass over the past few days; on Wednesday the freezing rain was the cause, on Thursday morning it was snowfall. Nevertheless, the situation on the roads in Ebersberg and the surrounding area remained comparatively relaxed, there were only four black ice accidents in the southern district by Thursday morning, as reported by the Ebersberg police inspection. The accident drivers either slide into the ditch or against the existing crash barrier. Nobody was injured in this. The total property damage was estimated at around 15,000 euros.
Overall, the Ebersberg police in their press release praised the drivers for their careful and adapted driving style. The storm warnings via radio and warning apps, which allowed road users to adapt to the situation, were obviously helpful.
