Eating Disorders in Adults: “Making Survival a Life” – Munich

Eating disorders often begin in adolescence but do not simply go away with adulthood. Few of those affected can see the disease from the outside – they are tormented by addiction and shame around the clock. And also the diet plans of the others.

On a gray Monday afternoon in early April, Carlotta Euler enters (name changed) the Munich Freedom Cafe. She sits down at a free table on the upper floor. A waitress comes up to her and asks what she can bring. “A cappuccino, please,” says Euler as a matter of course.
