While the Queen probably celebrates Easter Sunday in a chapel in the castle, her family represented her at Windsor Mass with dignity.

Prince William (39), Duchess Kate (40) and other members of the British royal family have arrived at Windsor Castle for the traditional Easter service in St. George’s Chapel. While Queen Elizabeth II (95) is said to be celebrating Easter Sunday in a small chapel in the castle, her family members will represent her at public mass.

The monarch, who celebrates her 96th birthday next week, had canceled – probably due to ongoing mobility problems. According to biographer Angela Levin The royal family said he was “extremely cautious” ahead of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.

Prince Charles (73) and his wife Duchess Camilla (74), who represented the queen at a ceremony on Maundy Thursday, apparently also do not attend the service. They are said to be spending the holidays at their country home, Birkhall, in Aberdeenshire. In an Easter message on Instagram the Prince of Wales addressed all “victims of war or persecution” on Sunday and also remembered his late father Prince Philip (1921-2021).

Kate and Charlotte shine in light blue

Prince William and Duchess Kate and their children Prince George (8) and Princess Charlotte (6) beamed with the spring sun when they arrived – the men in classic suits, Kate and Charlotte in a light blue partner look.

Also present were Princess Anne’s (71) daughter Zara Tindall (40) and her husband Mike (43). Queen’s son Prince Edward (58) and his wife Countess Sophie von Wessex (57) were accompanied by their daughter Lady Louise (18) and son James, Viscount Severn (14).
