The late Princess Diana’s brother is impressed by Princess Kate’s composure after her tragic cancer diagnosis.
Charles Spencer (59), the younger brother of Princess Diana (1961-1997), who tragically died in 1997, has some experience with severe strokes of fate. He was accordingly impressed by the extremely composed video statement with which British Princess Kate (42) informed the public about her cancer on Friday evening (March 22nd). In the clip recorded by the BBC, she sits alone on a park bench in the spring light and reports on the difficult time surrounding her abdominal surgery in January and the cancer that was discovered during follow-up examinations. Despite this upsetting topic, Prince William’s wife (41) recites her text with a calm smile on her face and calmly.

On his Instagram channel Earl Spencer posted a screenshot of this video this Saturday and commented on it with the simple words “Incredible serenity and strength”. Princess Diana’s brother had already met a few days ago in an interview with the BBC about the speculation about Kate’s health, which was still rampant at the time, and sharply criticized the media’s actions.

He compared the pressure on the members of the royal family with the hardships that his sister, who died in 1997, had to endure. However, he made one caveat: “I think it was more dangerous back then,” said Spencer. Now the press has obviously reconsidered its approach and is acting less scrupulously: “The circumstances of her death were so shocking that the industry, the paparazzi really thought more carefully about what she could and couldn’t do.” In his opinion, this was not due to their morals, but rather because the public no longer accepts such unscrupulousness these days.
