Pierre Ménès will no longer be commenting on the game Fifa – Charlotte Schousboe / Canal +
The relationship between Pierre Ménès and EA has not survived recent revelations about the sexist behavior of Canal’s flagship journalist.
EA France said this Thursday put an end “immediately” to his collaboration with Ménès, who has been lending his voice to the Fifa games for many years. EA adds that this one will no longer be in the Virtual Commentator’s Booth in
FIFA 22.
“It is very important that the behavior of our athletes and our partners is in line with the values of EA Sports Fifa,” tweeted the French account of the video game publisher. “Sensitive to the inconvenience that could cause the withdrawal of its comments in the current game”, EA will not however remove the voice of Pierre Ménès from FIFA 21 and advises, to those who do not want to hear it from today, to change the language in the settings.
