dYdX Launches Testnet for ‘Fully Decentralized’ Version 4

dYdX openThe public testnet “v4” as announced on July 5 from the development team. This will pave the way for future mainnet v4 releases.

and which, when used on the mainnet, v4 expects that the exchange will become “Full Decentralization”

dYdX is built on the Ethereum and StarkEx networks, and since it does not hold funds on behalf of its users, it is considered a cryptocurrency. A decentralized exchange (DEX), however, has a centralized order book and matching tool that allows market makers to place limit orders. This is in contrast to other DEXs such as Uniswap.

The fourth version of dYdX gets rid of centralized order books and matching tools, making the exchange fully decentralized. without relying on automated market makers, which according to the protocol documentation run different parts of the app on a separate dYdX network with their own validators, allowing order books to be stored on the network.

Users can request testnet money to try out the app by 5:00 PM UTC on July 5th, allowing them to try trading. Including looking at profits and losses

When the test network phase is completed protocol teamplanIt is implementing the fifth phase of its roadmap, which will integrate stablecoins with dYdX and will add support for Cosmos Inter-Blockchain Communication. To give Cosmos users access to the app.
