Dunja Hayali says goodbye to the “Current Sports Studio”. The 48-year-old journalist moderated the sports classic for the last time on Saturday, as ZDF confirmed on Thursday. It has been used 40 times since August 2018.
She is grateful for this “interesting, varied, challenging and above all enriching time,” she writes on Instagram. She will especially miss the long interviews. At the same time, she apologizes with a wink: “Yes, team, I know, I always overdid it.” In the accompanying video, the photos of numerous moments in the “sports studio” are cut together.
“It’s not easy for me, because I’ve really taken the show and crew to my (sports) heart over the past 5 years…” she writes in her post. “But three programs are – for different reasons – one too many, at least for me.”
Hayali has been part of the moderation team of the “Heute-Journal” since February. She also works for the “Morgenmagazin”. Katrin Müller-Hohenstein, Sven Voss and Jochen Breyer continue to moderate the “Aktuelle Sportstudio”.
