The second part of “Dune” will be in German cinemas on February 29th. Hollywood star Timothée Chalamet has now given insights into the filming.

Hollywood star Timothée Chalamet gave an insight into the extensive filming for the sci-fi blockbuster “Dune: Part Two”. “It was something very emotional,” the 28-year-old told Cinema magazine. The most ambitious moment was a scene in which his main character rides a sandworm – a monstrous creature that plays a major role in the film. “It took us four months just to do a two-minute sequence in the film,” said the American-French actor. The second part of “Dune” will be in German cinemas on February 29th.

The material is based on a series of novels by Frank Herbert. The story centers on the desert planet Arrakis. Only there is a special, valuable substance – which is why the planet is exploited by other powers in the galaxy and its inhabitants are oppressed.

Stars like Zendaya, Florence Pugh and Austin Butler also star in the film by Canadian director Denis Villeneuve. “The book is a warning against religious fanaticism, against the worship of leaders, against people with charisma,” Chalamet said.
