Timothée Chalamet is one of the most sought-after young actors in Hollywood.

At least since the remake of the science fiction classic “Dune”, the actor has been on everyone’s lips.

But who is the newcomer anyway?

Chalamet was born in December 1995 in New York to an American and a French.

He has been in front of the camera since he was thirteen. Initially in guest roles in TV productions such as “Law & Order” or the spy series “Homeland” – here he plays the son of the US Vice President.

In a supporting role in Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar”, Chalamet sniffed blockbuster air for the first time in 2014.

In 2017, the role of Elio Perlman in the literary film “Call Me by Your Name” earned him an Oscar nomination.

In 2019 Chalamet will take on the lead role in the Netflix historical drama “The King”. The film celebrates its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival. Chalamet embodies the English King Henry V in the film – the drama culminates in a bloody battle. His opponent is played by Robert Pattinson.

In 2021 he will also take on the main role of Paul Atreides in the star-studded “Dune”. The visually stunning strip by star director Denis Villeneuve is a film adaptation of the science fiction classic “The Desert Planet” by Frank Herbert. The film start was postponed by 10 months due to the coronavirus pandemic. A continuation of the blockbuster is planned for 2023.

In 2021 Chalamet will also take on a role in Wes Anderson’s “The French Dispatch”.
