Duchess Kate, 40, and Prince William, 39, attended a special event on the last night of their visit to Belize: a celebration at the Mayan ruins of Cahal Pech. The Duchess of Cambridge presented a glamorous dress. According to media reports, the pink, metallic shimmering robe with short ruffled sleeves and a tie around the waist comes from the British brand The Vampire’s Wife. The outfit, which is said to cost the equivalent of around 3,000 euros, fell to the ground. Kate wore silver open shoes.

Her long hair fell straight down the back of the 40-year-old from the middle parting. She complemented her look with statement earrings and an embroidered clutch. Prince William appeared in a blue jacket with which he combined a light blue shirt.

Celebration for the Queen

The event celebrated the platinum throne jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II (95) in Belize. Prince William recalled according to “People” commemorating his grandmother’s travels to Belize: “I am honored to bring my grandmother’s warmest wishes on the occasion of her platinum anniversary. She always speaks so lovingly of her visits to Belize, including a memorable stay here in Cahal Pech in the year 1994.” He later explained that he and Kate hope to one day take their three children – Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six, and Prince Louis, three – to Belize: “They’re pretty jealous that now they are not here with us!”

William also spoke about Belize’s support for the people of Ukraine. “Belize has joined many others in condemning the invasion and upholding the principles of international law, peace and security,” William said. “Today we think of those who are suffering in Ukraine and stand by them in solidarity.”

Prince William and Duchess Kate are heading to Jamaica this Tuesday (March 22nd). On Thursday they visit the Bahamas. Their one-week trip to the Caribbean is accompanied by local protests because of the colonial past.
