Duchess Kate appears in a shocking campaign launched by an artist to denounce violence against women.
Duchess Kate (39) with badly damaged face? A photo of the 39-year-olds edited with Photoshop appears in the shocking campaign by the Italian artist and activist Alexsandro Palombo, which he carried out on the day against violence against women (25.11.) posted on Instagram.
Kensington Palace is said not to have known anything about the use of the image for the campaign, as reported by British media.
In addition to the wife of Prince William (39), EU Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen (63), US Vice-President Kamala Harris (57) and ECB President Christine Lagarde (65) and Queen Letizia of Spain (49) are with them faces smeared with blood and bruised.
Artist criticizes institutions
Regarding the photos of the “victims of gender-based violence”, Palombo writes: “She reported him – but nobody believed her – but she was left alone – but she was not protected – but he was not arrested – but she was killed anyway”.
He further criticizes: “Why should a woman report the violence if she is not protected by the institutions after the report and is still killed in the end? […] A state that does not protect, but leaves women alone in the hands of their tormentors, becomes a silent accomplice. “
Campaign since 2015
Angelina Jolie (46), Kim Kardashian (41), Miley Cyrus (29) and many other celebrity faces have also been retouched by the artist as part of his #BreakTheSilence campaign, which he started in 2015 portrayed as a victim of sexist violence. In 2019 he added Michelle Obama (57), Angela Merkel (67) and Brigitte Macron (68) have blue eyes, cuts, blood and fresh bruises.
