Duchess Kate and Princess Anne made an official appointment as a duo for the first time.

Duchess Kate (40) and Princess Anne (71) made an official appointment together for the first time. The wife of Prince William (39) and the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II (96) visited together two midwifery organizations in London, of which they are patrons.

Princess Anne has looked after the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) for around 20 years, while the Duchess of Cambridge has looked after the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RCOG) since 2018. The two opened a new “Women’s Health Hub”. Several organizations are housed in the building says a statement from the Royals on Instagram. This should encourage collaboration.

Mothers should “feel heard and supported”

The royal duo therefore had the opportunity to learn more about how the organizations are working together to improve medical care for women. They spoke to experts in the field and mothers, among others.

It was about ensuring that mothers of all backgrounds receive the best possible care. “It is crucial that women and families feel heard and supported at such a crucial time in their lives,” it says in a post on the Instagram account by Prince William and Duchess Kate.
