Crown Princess Mary and Duchess Kate celebrate the Golden and Platinum Jubilees of their mothers-in-law, Queen Margrethe and Queen Elizabeth.

The two of them are ten years apart, but their path in life unites them. Both were born middle-class and will one day be the wife of a king: Duchess Kate (40) and Crown Princess Mary (50). Against this background, the ladies seem to get along really well, which can also be seen in the latest photos from today, Wednesday. They show the meeting of the two with Mary’s mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe II (81), in the palace of Christian IX. in Denmark.

“Thank you for the warm welcome”

Via Twitter shortly after the meeting, the British Duchess publicly thanked her for the “warm welcome”. “Together with the Queen and Crown Princess of Denmark we are celebrating the jubilee year of the United Kingdom and Denmark – the Golden Jubilee here in Denmark and Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in the United Kingdom.”

Queen Elizabeth II (95) has been on the British throne for 70 years (platinum), Queen Margrethe for 50 (gold).

Kate and Mary also harmonize perfectly when it comes to elegance. Both posed for the photographers in and in front of the castle in elegant coats. Kate wore a £3,000 gray coat dress with black lapels by Catherine Walker, while Mary opted for a chic white creation, which she has worn on previous outings. Both wore their long brown wavy hair down.

The wife of Prince William (39) and mother of three children traveled to Copenhagen for two days to draw attention to a topic that is particularly important to her: early childhood development. The trip is part of her Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood, which she launched in June 2021.
