Drunk into the crash barrier – district of Munich

A 48-year-old driver crashed his car into the guardrail on the A 8 at high speed on Tuesday evening. According to the police, the Holzkirchner was traveling between the Munich-South motorway junction and the Taufkirchen-Ost junction at around 10:10 p.m. and had to brake hard because of the traffic. He lost control of his car, which collided with the median barrier. The badly damaged car came to a stop in the left lane. Officials from the Holzkirchen motorway police noticed the smell of alcohol when they recorded the accident and carried out a test that showed a value of more than 0.3 per mille. The 48-year-old had to undergo a blood test and hand in his driver’s license. According to the police, the value of the rapid test is below the limit of 0.5 per thousand, but because the 48-year-old caused a traffic accident, the police suspect that failure symptoms have impaired the ability to drive. Damage of 11,000 euros was caused to the Holzkirchner’s car and the crash barrier, nobody was injured.
