Dresden: Grandhotel Taschenbergpalais reopens – travel

A hotel in your own city usually only becomes interesting when it is privately exciting or when just such excitement causes deserved trouble. Things are a bit different with the Taschenbergpalais. It is not only the so-called first house on the square in Dresden – it is also a center of the city. This is of course to be understood geographically, with the Semperoper, Zwinger and Frauenkirche, the local sights are in the immediate vicinity. The Taschenbergpalais is also a center in terms of the not so many places where Dresden residents can still live out what they still seem to long for in a somewhat exaggerated way, namely a certain courtly culture.
