For the Hollywood star, a career as a politician and “a nice life” are mutually exclusive. The 60-year-old wants to enjoy the years ahead as much as possible and also work less.

The US actor George Clooney (60) is not thinking about a career as a politician.

When asked if he ever wanted to go into politics, he said in an interview published on Sunday by the British broadcaster BBC: “No, because I would really like to have a nice life.” He turned 60 this year and talked to his wife Amal about the fact that they both worked a lot. In 20 years he will be 80 years old, which is a proud number. “No matter how much you train, what you eat: you will be 80 and that’s why I said: We have to make sure that we enjoy and live these years as best as possible.”

The actor and director should reduce his workload a little. “Instead of three jobs a year, I’ll do one,” he said. Not working, however, would not be for him.
